WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE A DJ?
I saw a disc jockey by name Dj Ultrabeatz do his thing in my early uni days and I fell in love with the arts, I loved the power it gave/ gives to switch people’s modes to a happier one, coupled with my love for music, dance and my vibes, I knew I will make an amazing entertainer, so I went for training and became the first female Dj In Akwa Ibom State that year 2010 and I have no regrets till date.
HOW HAS LIFE BEEN AS A FEMALE DJ?
Life has been wonderful now, it was a bit challenging in my early years when I was trying to create a niche for myself and other intending female djs in my state by getting it right.
Now I have earned the trust of clients admiration of the people as well as lots of referrals because of the top quality brilliant performance we satisfy our clients with.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE EXPERIENCE AS A DJ?
The experience is powerful yet humbling, it is beautiful, some people still watch me in awe whenever I am performing, the cheers and complements makes me happy that I am satisfying their want for good music.
YOU TRENDED RECENTLY FOR GIVING HELP TO A LADY WITH DISABILITY… TALK ABOUT IT
Yes. I met the special lady on my way to go buy some hair products, she was on her wheel chair and constructed a bucket containing biscuits, chewing gum and candy which she rode round to sell, I was touched by her passion and zeal to make a living, so I went to talk to her and realised she’s an orphan with just a sister and she’s equally the bread winner, so I followed her to where she stayed and realised it wasn’t fit for habitation, with the help of my foundation and some partners we were able to rent and set up a good place for them to stay.
Their smiles and happiness gave me satisfaction and fulfillment
WHERE DID YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION?
God , when he says in the bible love thy neighbor as thyself and also I try to apply the golden rule In all my dealings, I have real love for humanity, I always wish I can do more and seeing the smiles on their faces inspires me to do more.
