Ekiti Varsity Gets Full Accreditation For Nursing, 42 Others

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has given full accreditation status to the Nursing Sciences programme at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

A statement by the varsity’s Head of Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofinmuagun, said the National Universities Commission (NUC) also gave full accreditation, for five years, to 42 academic programmes.

A May 20 letter by the NMNC Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Faruk Abubakar, to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Edward Olanipekun, said the accreditation is for five years after which the institution shall be revisited for reassessment.

“The Nursing Sciences programme is adequate in content and coverage and it is in line with that of the NMCN,” the letter said.
