Ekiti State Varsity VC Bans ‘Couple Life’ on Campus
The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University Prof. Samuel Bandele has ordered student of opposite sex living together, popularly called “couple life’’ to stop such forthwith.
Bandele expressed his approval of the Federal Government’s decision to cease conduction of post-UTME tests.
He also commended the Federal Government approval given to the universities to screen candidates with intention to gain admission with fake results.
Bandele who has banned public smoking within the campus also revealed that 18,685 candidates were to receive degrees, diplomas and post-graduate diplomas during the convocation slated to take place on June 24; 3,054 being full-time students, 392 from Sandwich, 10,613 from the affiliate colleges and 3,937 being part-time students.
78 will get their PhD degrees, 366 for Masters, 127 for Professional Masters and 118 for Post-Graduate Diploma.
He added that a total of 24 students will receive First Class honours degree, even as some Nigerians, including the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, are to be conferred with honorary Doctoral degrees.
