FG Appoints Emily Arhagba Vice President for PTI
The Federal Government has appointed a former Director of Science, Mrs. Emily E. Arhagba as the Vice President of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun.
According to the letter signed by the Director of Human Resources Management, Ministry of Petroleum, Mr. I.A. Mariga, the appointment is with effect from April 1, 2016 following the retirement of the Acting Principal / Chief Executive, Mr. Avuakporeta J. Orukele.
Arhagba, who until her appointment was the Director of Science (DOS), would function as the Director of Science and Vice Principal in-charge of the PTI pending the appointment of a substantive Principal / Chief Executive.
Mrs. Arhagba holds a Master’s Degree in Communications & Language Arts and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) English Language from the famous University of Ibadan and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria respectively.
The new Vice Principal is also a professional member of many bodies which includes Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators, Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), African Council for Communication Education and a Fellow, African Council of Corporate Administrator among others.
She joined the services of the Institute on October 12, 1992, as Lecturer 1, General Studies.
