The digital content creators not only hosted one of Africa’s music mega stars on their live stream but end up been gifted N241 million by the affable singer, whose mantra is “we rise by lifting others”.
The whole social media space started buzzing when Peller announced that he will be hosting the multi-award winning Afrobeats sensation on his TikTok live platform. Did OBO delivered? He surely did beyond expectations as the IF crooner went ahead to smashed the TikTok records for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa with 389,800 viewers in total.
Over 164,000 people simultaneously watched the stream live.
Davido was reported to have received over 377 lion gifts on TikTok. Each lion cost $400. That’s a whopping $150,800 (N241, 280,000 using N1,600 exchange rate).
He revealed that the money will be given to the co-hosts Peller, Jarvis and Jo Blaq.
Peller formerly held the record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa. He set the record which was broken by Davido during a session which featured singer Tiwa Savage.
