Cardi B Celebrated ‘WAP’ Going No. 1 By Gifting Megan Thee Stallion a Custom Birkin Bag

About a week after Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion gifted the world with “WAP,” the artists themselves are celebrating their hit No. 1 single. Megan took to Instagram on Monday to unbox a mysterious package from Cardi. That special orange Hermès box soon revealed a custom “WAP”-themed Birkin bag personalized for Meg herself.

“My manager just walked in and said cardi sent you something ???????????????? not the birkinnnnnnnn ???????????? thank you frennn omg I can’t believe you ???????????????????? I wonder what I’m gonna get her ???????????? @iamcardib,” Megan captioned the video of her excitedly unwrapping the highly-coveted accessory.

Birkins, which retail in the thousands, are already exclusive. But a few Meg-centric touches made this gift priceless. The bag is painted with a white tiger, water drops, and Megan in her tiger stripe one-piece look from the video. On the other side, there’s a mural of Houston (Megan’s hometown) with the phrase “Be Someone” alongside it. “Thank you Meg, really appreciate you! Cardi B 2020,” the singer signed the bottom of the bag next to a heart.

Cardi and Megan have a lot to appreciate at the moment. They catapulted “WAP,” their first ever collaboration, to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song, released August 7, gained 93 million U.S. streams in its first week—beating Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” at 85.3 million and setting a new all-time record. Since their blockbuster release, Cardi graced the September cover of ELLE and casually interviewed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Meg, meanwhile, has been teasing her new ambassador role with Revlon.

Cardi has been known to rep the Birkin brand in her daily life. Last month, she and husband Offset gifted their two-year-old daughter Kulture with a mini pink Birkin bag. And over the weekend, Cardi posed alongside a rare bandana-print Birkin on Instagram.
