In line with its mission to inform, training and create platforms for partnership between entertainment managers within Nigeria and across the world, the Association of Music Artistes Managers of Nigeria (AMAMN) held its end of the year seminar at the FreeMeSpace, 16a Nike Art Gallery Road, Lekki on the 18th of December 2018.
The plan was to explain in details via a discussion and a Q&A session, what it takes to brand an artiste on social media and the full meaning and hidden details involved in music publishing and how artistes and artiste managers can avoid the pitfall and get their income stream right.
We had Mr. Michael Ugwu, GM West Africa of Sony Music, Mr. Benjamin Omesiete GM of Askana Music Group and Official manager to 2nite enter10ment and also Bar. Olayemi Oladapo Esq. on the Music publishing panel, moderated by Godwin Raphani Omadibi, current PRO, AMAMN and Lead Ideas Instigator, Vista Ville Management. While the President of AMAMN and CEO of Cream Entertainment, Sijuade Adedokun moderated the panel that did justice to Social Media Branding, consisting of Mr. Lanre Lawal, CEO The Bail Music Company and Mr. Daniel Malik, CEO Lagos Digital Marketing Training and MD Tradersball Nigeria
Participants were of the agreed opinion that such trainings and discussions that dissects the nitty gritty of the workings of important segment within the artiste management sectors should be held regularly and made readily accessible to all and sundry, so as to help reduce the prevalence of quacks in our profession.
It was agreed by all that the seminar was impactful and knowledge was indeed given.
