The comedian also stopped off at the Met Gala preparations on her way to the hospital to give birth, to pose for a photo.
US comedian Amy Schumer has revealed she has given birth – on the same day that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the royal baby.
In a reference to the royal baby, she announced the birth on Instagram with a picture of her little boy, alongside her husband Chris Fischer, saying: “10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born.”
The 37-year-old comedian also revealed that she stopped off at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on her way to give birth – as organisers for the Met Gala were getting ready for the iconic event.
She said: “Met look this year. Last night on the way to the hospital.”
Schumer announced she was expecting in October, days after Harry and Meghan announced their birth.
The Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty star superimposed her and her husband’s heads on to an image of the royal couple on Instagram for her announcement.
Speaking at the time to the Los Angeles Times, she said: “Chris and I are thrilled and almost positive he’s the father… I look forward to competing with Markle every step of the way.”
It was reported that Schumer had to battle severe morning sickness during her pregnancy.
