
AKSU Admits Fresh Students, VC warned against Cultism
Over 1,823 fresh students have been admitted into Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) and participated in the matriculation ceremony of the institution for the new 2015/2016 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof Eno Ibanga advised the newly admitted students to shun cultism and indecent dressing. He also decried the over dependence of students on social media and advised parents to caution their children.
Furthermore, he advised the students to manage the opportunity to the best of their abilities and shun acts capable of jeopardizing their successful studentship.
According to him, a total of 2,340 students were admitted in the 2015/2016 academic session and so far 1,823 were cleared for matriculation.
In conclusion, he thanked the state government for providing facilities and resources to enable the institution to achieve its goals.
