The Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, has joined Nigerians in celebrating the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday.
Adunni in the Neighborhood as she’s fondly called, described Senator Tinubu as her role model, adding that she has been following in her footsteps from her days as the First Lady of Lagos State, through her three-term tenure as Senator representing Lagos Central, to her current position as Nigeria’s First Lady.
She noted that at every stage, Senator Tinubu has remained a beacon of leadership, humility, and compassion.
“She is a woman of great repute, a praying woman, and a tireless advocate for women. Through initiatives such as the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), the revival of COWLSO, the Spelling Bee, and the establishment of Sickle Cell hospitals, she has touched countless lives across Nigeria,” Akindele said.
The council boss revealed that the First Lady’s generosity and humility had long inspired her own style of leadership.
“Her consistent care for the less privileged and senior citizens has been a great motivation. I vowed that when given the opportunity to serve, I would emulate her—and now that I have that opportunity, I am committed to replicating these gestures in Mosan-Okunola.”
“She doesn’t like to see people suffer. That is the kind of woman one should emulate,” she affirmed.
