Abu Dhabi Police is set to introduce a groundbreaking 4X4 next-gen autonomous bulletproof all-terrain patrol vehicle, the Magnum MK1. Currently showcased at the Gitex Global tech show in Dubai, this 5.1-tonne prototype features surveillance drones and is designed for efficient patrol, surveillance, and secure transport of detainees.
The Magnum MK1 accommodates a crew of three police officers and one prisoner, equipped with a dedicated cell. With a payload capacity of 1.5 tonnes, it can withstand fire from up to 7.62mm ammunition. The vehicle boasts impressive performance, reaching speeds of up to 150 km/h and accelerating to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
“This is an autonomous electric vehicle with a hybrid engine supported by petrol,” stated a police officer at the pavilion. This innovative vehicle represents a significant advancement in law enforcement capabilities.
