The Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management says it has secured accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education for 10 academic programmes.
The institution disclosed this in a statement on Monday, saying the accreditation covered programmes in Built Environment Technology, Management and Sciences.
According to the statement, the accredited programmes include Architectural Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Computer Science at both Ordinary National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels, as well as Science Laboratory Technology with three options.
The institution noted that the accreditation would strengthen its capacity to produce graduates with practical knowledge and technical skills required for the labour market.
Reacting to the development, the Rector of RECTEM, Dr. Oladunni Izobo-Martins, described the accreditation as a major milestone for the institution.
“This is a major milestone and a testament to the grace of God, dedication, hard work, and collective commitment of the entire RECTEM community,” she said.
Izobo-Martins appreciated the General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye, Transition Committee, management, staff, students and other stakeholders for their contributions to the institution’s growth.
She also acknowledged the support of the leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to improving its programmes.
“RECTEM will continue to focus on equipping our students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to make meaningful contributions to the development of the country,” the rector added.
