Femi Abiodun Launches Bold Initiative To Place 1,000 Free Books In The Hands Of Nigeria’s Youth

Amid growing concerns about young people’s preparedness for life beyond formal education, author and youth development advocate, Femi Abiodun has launched a new initiative. It aims to equip teenagers and undergraduates with practical life skills often overlooked in traditional academic settings.

Abiodun highlights that while tertiary institutions excel at imparting academic knowledge, many young people graduate lacking the practical wisdom, guidance, and life skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern world.

“The reality of the marketplace is rarely covered in most classrooms,” he stated. “Many students successfully pass examinations and earn degrees but often struggle with the real-life challenges of career development, decision-making, leadership, relationships, personal growth, and purpose discovery.”

To bridge this gap, Abiodun has authored a new book titled “From Classroom to Boardroom.” This publication is designed to inspire, mentor, and equip young people to achieve remarkable results. It provides practical insights, principles, and guidance to help readers confidently and clearly transition from the classroom to the marketplace.

As part of a broader commitment to youth development, his publishing company, Alphasage, has launched a campaign to distribute 1,000 free copies of the book to teenagers and undergraduates across Nigeria over the next twelve months.

The initiative specifically targets young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who may lack the financial means to purchase personal development resources but are eager to learn and improve their prospects.

“Life after school is not a sprint; it is a marathon,” Abiodun noted. “The journey can be challenging and overwhelming, especially for those who must navigate it without mentors or access to the right information. However, when young people are equipped with wisdom and practical guidance from those who have gone ahead, they are better positioned to make informed decisions and avoid costly mistakes.”

To ensure the project’s sustainability and wide reach, Alphasage invites corporate organizations, educational institutions, philanthropists, professional bodies, faith-based organizations, and individuals to partner in sponsoring copies of the book for deserving beneficiaries. Each sponsored copy costs a discounted rate of ₦10,000.

Abiodun believes that investing in the next generation is one of the most impactful contributions individuals and organizations can make toward nation-building.

“Every sponsored copy represents more than a book,” he said. “It represents hope, direction, knowledge, and an opportunity for a young person to dream bigger, make better decisions, and unlock their full potential.” Through this effort, we also aim to spark a culture of mentorship, personal development, and purposeful living among the nation’s youth.

Interested partners and sponsors are encouraged to support this initiative and join the movement to empower young Nigerians with the tools, mindset, and guidance required to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.
