A final year student of the University of Benin has been shot dead.
The victim was shot in front of the main gate of UNIBEN Ugbowo campus.
Witnesses said the victim was driving a GLK Mercedes-Benz when he was attacked.
Two other passengers in the vehicle who survived the attack were rushed to the University of Benin Health Care Centre.
It was gathered that the masked gunmen shot the victims at close range.
A witness said, “They shot him at close range, and there was no way he could have survived the attack.
“Two others who were in the vehicles were also injured and rushed to the school’s health care center.”
