The MAAUN Group of Universities has congratulated Prof. Muhammad Magaji on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Kabo (FUSTK), Kano State, by President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement issued, the Founder of the universities, Prof. Adamu Gwarzo, described the appointment as “well deserved,” citing Prof. Magaji’s wealth of experience and strong academic pedigree.
He described Prof. Magaji as a distinguished scholar committed to advancing education and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver on his mandate by promoting research and innovation to achieve academic excellence.
Prof. Magaji previously served as the pioneer Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Kabo before it was converted into FUSTK by the Federal Government.
He also held the position of acting President at the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano.
“On behalf of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to congratulate Prof. Magaji on his appointment as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of FUSTK,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
Gwarzo further expressed optimism that the new Vice Chancellor, who has served in various academic and administrative roles, would bring the needed transformation and development to the university.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Prof. Magaji the wisdom and strength to steer the institution to greater heights.
