Ghanaians slam Odumodublvck for saying he will never work with Ghanaian artistes

…following Nigeria’s AFCON loss

Ghanaian social media users have called out Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck following comments he made during Nigeria’s AFCON semifinal clash against Morocco, where he suggested he would never collaborate with a Ghanaian artiste again if Nigeria lost the match.

The statement, which many initially dismissed as banter, resurfaced after Nigeria was eliminated by Morocco on penalties.

The highly charged semifinal, played last night, ended 4–2 on penalties in Morocco’s favour, plunging Nigerian fans into disappointment. The match, officiated by Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea, has since attracted controversy, with sections of the Nigerian fan base accusing the officiating team of bias against the Super Eagles. Odumodublvck was among those who openly criticised the referee, linking his frustration to his earlier comments about Ghanaian artistes.

While some fans view the rapper’s comments as emotional post-match reactions, others, particularly in Ghana, have strongly pushed back, calling the comments unnecessary and disrespectful. A few critics have even gone as far as demanding that Odumodublvck distance himself from past collaborations with Ghanaian artistes, including “Wotowoto Seasoning,” his popular song featuring Black Sherif.
