60 Nigeria University Teams For Finance Talent At CGMA Business Leader Challenge

A total of 60 teams from 10 Nigerian universities are set to showcase their skills and talents in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)-organized CGMA Business Leader Challenge for 2025. This annual competition, now in its third year, provides a platform for aspiring finance and business leaders to develop their business acumen, leadership, and decision-making skills.

The competition, which is hosted by CIMA, the world’s largest professional body of management accountants, will see participating teams address real-world business challenges and present their solutions to a panel of ex-experienced professionals. According to Ijeoma Anadozie,

Associate Director for Nigeria at CIMA, the challenge is designed to foster the growth of future leaders in finance and business.

“We are confident that this year’s participants will exhibit the same energy and drive, gaining invaluable experience in teamwork, communication, and leadership along the way,” Anadozie said. The competition has seen remarkable growth, increasing from 30 teams in its inaugural edition to 60 teams competing this year.

The challenge is expected to run through November, with the final event scheduled for December, where five teams will compete for the grand prize, which includes the CGMA Finance Leadership Programme and an opportunity to intern at a leading.
