150 youths drawn from different communities across Lagos have been equipped with digital skills by United Way Greater Nigeria, in partnership with Rack Centre under the Skill To Employment Programme (STEP).
The graduation ceremony, the organisers said, marked a significant milestone in the lives of 150 youths from Ojota, Oregun, Ikeja, and Ogudu, who completed an intensive eight-week training in graphics design, digital marketing, front end web development, as well as networking and security.
The organisers said the successful participants were not only graduates of the programme, but also secured internship placements in organisations across the state.
“This practical experience is crucial in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, ensuring a smoother transition into the workforce.”
