Raving singer Ikufioriji Olaitan Abdulrahman aka Oxlade has opened up on why he dropped out of university in the final year.
He explained his near-death experience in Lagos State University (LASU) was why he left.
The ‘Ku Lo Sa’ crooner was recently featured in a new episode of Tea with Tay podcast anchored by Temisan during which he opened up on how some guys tried to lure him into joining a gang.
He said that he was being persuaded by cultists to join their fold while he was in his final year.
Oxlade recalled how one day, his grandmother called him and asked him to be coming back home to Ibadan.
He said on that very day, his tormentors stormed his room and attacked his roommate, leaving him almost dead.
“During my university days, I was always in the church reading bible and books. Then I dropped out in my final year.
“I’ve never said this before. I dropped out when some boy were trying to make me join gang. One day, my grandma called me asking where I am. I said I was in campus and she said I should start coming to our family home in Ibadan.
“I went to Ibadan. That day, those cultists, they almost killed my roommates. That’s why I appreciate my grandma’s importance in my life. Truly, there’s God. And I’m saying this with my full chest, God has saved me countless times,” he said.
He said that the pressure from the gang forced him to drop out of the institution.
