MTV today announced nominees for the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards (full list below). Beginning today, fans can vote for their favourites across 26 gender-neutral categories by visiting vote.mtv.com through Monday, April 17 at midnight.
The show will air on Monday, May 8 as an epic, supersized Los Angeles takeover event LIVE on MTV Base (DStv Ch. 322 and Gotv Ch. 72) at 01:00 WAT. Repeats at 11:30 and 19:40.
“Television is our business, and everyone wants to see a winner. The MTV Movie & TV Awards is a household brand televised in over 170 countries, including Nigeria. The continuation of having gender-neutral categories is a key element which taps into today’s youth including how we want to see our brand evolve. The MMTAs never disappoint and promises to be exciting; plus the fans will get to see their favourite celebrities and influencers up close,” says Monde Twala, Senior Vice-President and General Manager for Paramount Africa, and Lead for BET International.
