
The Kano State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Scheme, Mrs Aisha Mohammad, said on Thursday that six corps members of the 2019, Batch B, stream 2 service year will repeat the service year, while 16 others would have their service year extended.
Mohammad said a total of 2,677 corps members successfully completed the service year in Kano State.
The coordinator maintained that no COVID-19 case was recorded among the corps members during the service year in the state.
The coordinator advised the corps members to use the skills they acquired during the service year to make themselves self-reliant and employers of labour.
Also, two corps members in Katsina State who absconded from the year are to repeat their service.
The National Youth Service Corps Coordinator of the scheme in the state, Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya, said this on Thursday during the passing out of corps members in the batch.
A total of 1,328 corps members of the 2019 Batch B Stream 2 were discharged in Katsina State.
The coordinator, who spoke through his representative, the Deputy Director, Relocation and Reployment, Mr Olaisebekan Taiwo, added that two other members would have their serve year extended, while two corps members died during the service year.
