2021 Impactful Women Award: A Colourful Gathering Of Global Female Pace Setters.

It was all about impact, glamour and celebration of female achievers at the 2021 Impactful Women Award that was held recently in Accra.

Recall that for the past 5 years, the Impactful Women Award Initiative has consistently honoured women across the world that are doing well in their respective fields of endeavour. The global event has gained massive international recognition due to the list of Award recipients each year.

 

The theme for this year’s Award ceremony was ‘Celebrating the Passionate Commitment of Female Pace setters across the Globe’. Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu, Ghana’s Dep. Minister for Gender, Children and Social protection was the Guest of Honour while Hon. Barr. Rita Orji, Member Federal House of Representatives 8th NASS represented as the Special Guest of Honour.

 

During her address, Prof. Atinuke Adebanji, Professor of Statistics and Actuarial Science, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) urged women to always do everything possible to support each other. She noted that it is wrong to forget where one is coming from. Prof. Atinuke cautioned against feeling too big or proud to identify with one’s root when success comes. She mentioned that women all over the world are doing great things and should be supported to succeed. She commended the organisers and urged for support towards their beautiful initiative.

 

Comrade Barry Ndu, the Convener of the prestigious event explained the concept behind the Award scheme that it was set up to encourage women to remain committed in being positive agents of change. He said that as the women are inducted into the Hall Of Fame, they should not relent in bringing up creative ideas that would better humanity. Comrade Barry urged different Governments across the world and corporate Organisations to constantly give women opportunities to explore their God given talents as their perfect multi tasking ability is second to none. While concluding his remarks, he urged for the support of all in sustaining their vision of giving women a voice and recognizing people when they are still alive.

 

An array of Award recipients included Hon. Barr. Rita Orji, Member 8th NASS, Madam Lydia Atiemo, Deputy CEO Youth Employment Agency, Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice Chancellor, Colonel Juliana Gyasi Necku (Rtd), Chief Nurse Officer, United Nation Field Hospital, ,  Queen Lodi -Lina Lutherodt Jose (Mrs.), Founder and Executive Director of VLM and Yeye-Luwa of Dome-Kwabenya, Madam Maebelle Denya Nortey, Manager Zenith Bank Ghana, Portia Gabor, Broadcast Journalist with TV3, Mrs Precious Osakwe and many others.

 

All Recipients appreciated the organisers for such global recognition and pledged to remain good Ambassadors while remaining role models to many who look up to them.

 

The Organizers assured of a more exciting event in 2022 as they hope an increased number of women would be honoured.
