15  Students bag First Class at Federal University Lokoja’s Maiden Convocation

The Federal University Lokoja has held its maiden convocation with 15 graduates topping the graduands lists as first class honours students out of the 201 graduands emerging with first class honours.

This is out of the 201 graduands that graduated from the institution.

Prof. Angela Freeman Mir, Vice Chancellor of the University said 76 graduated with second class upper degrees, 90 graduated with second class lower degrees while 24 graduated with third class degrees.

The Vice chancellor stated this while presenting certificates to the graduands, explaining that within the five years of existence of the university, the students’ enrollment had risen from 599 in the 2012/2013 session to 2,114 in the 2015/2016 session.

Earlier, the University had installed the Emir of Fika, Yobe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idris as the Chancellor and bestowed posthumous honorary doctorate degree of Law on the late Minister of State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi (SAN).
