Aderibigbe Daniel, a 10-year-old pupil of Sacred Touch Schools, Lagos, has bagged a scholarship for hands-on architectural training at the Oshodi Arts Gallery.
Chief Executive Officer of Oshodi Arts Gallery, Dr Oshodi Paul made the announcement at the fourth edition of the Nigerian Children Arts and Cultural Festival organised annually by the Arts Gallery, held at the Ikorodu Musical Village.
Aderibigbe got the scholarship after he wowed attendees by constructing a mini-home using cardboard paper.
The Oshodi Arts Gallery CEO said Aderibigbe would, by the scholarship, have an opportunity to further hone his architectural skill
Speaking further, Oshodi said the yearly festival aimed at fostering creativity, confidence, and cultural pride among Nigerian children.
He reaffirmed the festival’s mission to nurture young talents and provide a platform to celebrate the hidden potential in children.
“NACAF is not just about performance. It’s about discovery—giving children a voice, an audience, and the encouragement to express their gifts. “When we catch them young, we prepare them to lead with purpose,” Oshodi said.
The proud Proprietress of Sacred Touch Schools, Mrs Babington Agnes, praised the initiative.
“This platform brings out talents that schools alone may not uncover. I truly commend the organisers for this life-transforming event.”
In a goodwill message, founder of the KIRTIS KARE Foundation Asia Africa, Dr. Kirti Sudhaushu applauded the festival’s role in empowering young minds through culture and creativity.
“Oshodi Arts Gallery is doing phenomenal work. I urge them to continue this mission of shaping futures through arts and culture,” she said.
The event, attended by more than 20 schools across Lagos State, featured a parade, dance competitions, recitations and spelling contests.
The children were also treated to a surprise performance by a gorilla dance clown.
All participating schools received certificates of participation.
