YABATECH Prepares to Graduate 11,957 Students

As Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) prepares for its 2th graduation ceremony, no fewer than 11,957 graduates will receive the scrolls for the award of Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND) and certificates at an event scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 29th, 2015.

Speaking at the pre-convocation media briefing, the Rector, Dr. Margaret Kudirat Ladipo, said that student enrolment into the nation’s pioneer higher institution has been on the increase in the last few years despite societal perception about polytechnic education.

She attributed this to the quality of academic programmes offered by the college, saying graduates of the college have been able to compete favourably with their university counterparts in the world of work.

The rector added that the combined graduation ceremony which is for 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 academic sessions was flagged off with a special Jumat service on October 23 at the College Mosque and a commendation service for the conclusion of the ceremony was held on Sunday October 25.

The main event is scheduled to hold on the 29th October, 2015.
