The National Association of Nigerian students has appealed to the Federal Government to look into the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU).
The plea according to the Daily Independent was contained in a statement signed by the National Public Relations Officer, Mr Bestman Okereafor, in Enugu.
Okereafor in the statement urged the FG to meet the demands of the striking lecturers in the best interest of Nigerian students.
“NANS is finally calling on the Federal Government to look at means of resolving its differences with ASUU and COEASU members.
“We appeal that government go into resolving the issue urgently in the best interest of all Nigerian students.
“This should be done without further delay so that the ongoing strike will not affect the academic calendar of the institutions,” he said
