M.A.C. Is Giving It’s Most-Famous Red Lipsticks a Makeover for Lunar New Years

Anyone who fucks with red lipstick knows that M.A.C. makes some of the most iconic reds of all time. Those in the know can spot a Ruby Woo, a Russian Red, or a Lady Danger upon sight. Reason being: those three are so commonly touted as the most universally flattering trifecta of red tones whether you’re seeking a cool undertone, a neutral undertone, or a warm and fiery version.

For a limited-edition blip in time to celebrate the Lunar New Year, M.A.C. is dressing up your favorite reds in festive, metallic red tubes with floral imprints. Trendmood leaked a photo of two of them in their new packaging, while also giving some details about the entire collection. Other than the classic three reds, the M.A.C. Lunar New Year collection will also include lipsticks in: Lucky In Love, a mid-tone pinky mauve (matte), and Lotus Light, an intense pinky red (amplified). There’s also a Powder Blush Duo in Melba (matte, soft, coral peach) and Lovecloud (bright, satin, mid-tone pink), and a Powder Blush Brush.

Not a whole lot of details exist elsewhere on the collection yet, but these will be available come January 2019, according to Trendmood, and you’ll be able to find them on maccosmetics.com. Again, this is all limited-edition, so if you’re a diehard makeup collector, definitely add these classics to your cart. And if you want to align it for a Lunar New Year gift, February 5 is the date next year (and it’s the year of the pig, FYI).
