Kwesé TV thrills Anthony Joshua fans in hometown, Sagamu

Nigeria‘s innovative and newest pay-tv, Kwesé brought joy and excitement to the faces of Anthony Joshua’s family and fans over the weekend in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The people of Sagamu, joined the rest of the world to celebrate Anthony Joshua as he defended his WBA and IBF heavyweight title against Cameroonian-born French boxer, Carlos Takam, last Saturday.

The much-anticipated bout which was screened live at Baba Josh Hall in Sagamu, saw over two thousand fans troop out to watch their own star win the iconic fight.

Joshua was seen to have dominated the fight, which was broadcast, to millions courtesy of Kwese TV from round one up until round 10 when the fight was stopped by the referee.

Anthony Joshua has his roots in Sagamu, a historic city located in Ogun state, Nigeria. Ahead of the match, the Joshua family in Sagamu partnered with Kwesé to air the live broadcast at the Joshua family hall in Sagamu.

This fight coincided with Sagamu Day, an annual celebration of life by Sagamu residents where praise and rituals are offered to the gods of the land.
