A student of Delta State University, DELSU, Oleh Campus, Ezechie Ifeanyi recently disarmed a suspected armed robber identified as Ukiri Akpoghene (21-year-old) around Palufe Area, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State. A locally made cut to size gun was allegedly recovered from the suspect who was later handed over to the Police at Oleh.

A source who was at the Oleh Police Station reports that the suspect allegedly accosted and robbed the Student who had just returned from the campus where he went to read and tried to dispossess him of his Samsung mobile phone at gunpoint. It was gathered that the student summoned courage, grabbed and struggled with the suspect as he tried to escape from the scene.

When contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka said,” I’m not aware but that’s good news. However, I will get across to the DPO and get back to you.”
