All is now set for the 2018 Ghana Nigeria Achievers Award holding at the prestigious British Council Event Auditorium, Accra-Ghana. The theme for this year’s event is “Celebrating Hard work and Promoting Positive Effort Towards Building a Better Society”.


Speaking to our correspondent on phone, the Convener of this great initiative, Comrade Barry Ndu Nwaihim  assured Guests coming from Nigeria and those in Ghana of a hitch free event. He confirmed that this would be the best ever Award event considering the effort and logistics already put in place. He explained that it is very important at all times to celebrate people who are positively contributing their quota to the development of society noting that

the Initiative was set up as a platform to recognize and honor individuals and corporate Organizations that are Impacting society.


He called on Corporate Institutions and good minded individuals to support the Organization as they embark on

different programmes aimed at building a positive relationship between Ghana and Nigeria. He expressed total disappointment on the inability of many wealthy people in supporting young people to greatness wondering why different proposals filled with creative ideas are not regarded by Government making it difficult for young people to excel in their God given passion. Comrade Barry Ndu called on the Government of Ghana and Nigeria to set aside funds every year in helping young people across the two countries pursue their vision. He urged the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana to open up their doors in supporting individuals and ideas  that promotes integration with the host country calling on those that would be attending the event to commit their finance in the YOUTH

ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SKILLS ACQUISITION CENTER –(YESAC GHANA ) aimed at offering an opportunity to many unemployed young

People to learn new skills and become financially independent. He also asked for collaboration in the official introduction of the Ghana Nigeria Achievers Magazine into the market. The magazine is designed to constantly project the positive achievements of personalities

from the two countries.


Nana Ama Baiden, the Secretary of the Local Organizing Committee expressed joy and excitement that the event would fulfill its main purpose of uniting citizens of the two countries. She noted that Ghana and Nigeria have come a long way and anything that unites the two countries must be supported by all and sundry. She explained that getting sponsorship to organize this year’s event has been hectic and prayed that subsequent editions would not be so. Nana Ama noted that the only way young people can excel in their God given vision is when they are supported physically, financially and morally. She said that their team is ready to welcome all the Guests coming from Nigeria and other parts of how world to Accra, the most peaceful city in Africa.
