Ahmadu Bello University Matriculates 11,229 Freshmen
A total of 11,229 undergraduate students have been admitted into the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU Zaria during the matriculation ceremony for the 2015/2016 academic session.
According to the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ibrahim Garba, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Na’iya Sada, said the matriculation ceremony marks the initiation of young men and women into the challenging experience of intellectual development and maturity.
He urged the freshers to respect the unique diversities and peculiarities of the University community for the purpose of peaceful co-existence.
The VC urged the students to be committed to their studies, and also cultivate a spirit of understanding and tolerance in order to resolve any differences with their colleagues amicably.
He also welcomed the new students to Ahmadu Bello University and pledged to provide the conducive environment needed to guarantee quality research and learning in the University.
